An art display featuring local artists, Ken Edwards and Estelle “Cisse” Jones, will be held at the Destin Library through May, 27th. The display is open to the public during library hours.
Cisse Jones has been painting for over 50 years. She has an Associate Degree in Art from Miami Dade Junior College and continued her art studies at Florida State University. Her work entitled “Bicycle”, won the Best of Show at Pensacola State Fair.
Ken Edwards began his art career four years ago with drawing lessons from Jack Wilson, an internationally recognized artist specializing in renderings of African subjects. Following this he studied with portrait artists Sue Carol Knight and Tony Ryder. Most recently Edwards has continued his art studies with professors JB Cobb and Lynn Rackley at Northwest Florida State College in Niceville.
Destin Library Director Jurate Burns notes that “the Destin community is enriched by these artists and the library is proud to exhibit their work.”
