The Florida Department of Elder Affairs (DOEA) has released a limited number of its Consumer Resource Guide to area libraries. The 328 page guide was created in collaboration with government agencies, non-profit organizations and professional associations, as well as other groups and individuals committed to issues affecting elders. The guide is divided into nine sections ranging from “Getting The Help You Need”, to “Elder Rights/Abuse and Fraud”. Click on the Consumer Resource Guide picture to access the DOEA website.
Individuals interested in receiving a copy the Consumer Resource Guide may request one at the circulation desk. Copies of this guide will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
